About Ashley M. Fox

Wall Street analyst turned worldwide wealth-building educator…

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Ashley’s competitive spirit and desire to succeed led her to search for colleges that would put her in the best position to compete in the finance industry, specifically Wall Street. The exposure to Howard University’s School of Business, enabled her to secure an internship every year of college—the first being at Johnson & Johnson, and the remaining three at top Wall Street investment banks.

After graduating magna cum laude with a finance degree from Howard University, Ashley became the first member of her family to obtain a college degree.

Hired by J.P. Morgan Chase, Ashley worked full-time in Asset Management at the Private Bank. She worked with an integrated team of individuals to help manage the assets of high net worth individuals whose total assets exceeded a minimum of $25 million. There she was exposed to the various types of financial tools and products, and she learned how to effectively use those tools to help people manage their wealth.

Rather than sit back and keep all this information to herself, she decided to share it with others, and empower them through education. With this desire in mind, she bid farewell to her Wall Street career and six-figure earnings to pursue a path that allowed her to use her passion to financially empower the 99% Wall Street would not talk to.

Although Ashley worked for a large Wall Street investment bank and had made six figures, before her 25th birthday she discovered the fundamental principle of wealth building by making major mistakes: “It’s not what you make, but how you spend it.”

She became a hyper-spender, saving and investing some, but spending as much and as often as she could on trips around the world to shopping excursions. She quickly went from a six-figure income to losing everything.

Ashley was later evicted from her Harlem apartment, had maxed credit cards, and overdrawn accounts. She emptied her investments, and used all that she had to both survive and build her business. Ashley now shares her lessons with others while working to help shift their mindset around money and how they use it.

Building a financial platform that helps empower your mind and break generational curses

A former Wall Street analyst is now an award-winning financial expert who is the CEO & Founder of EMPIFY and The WealthBuilders Community App. During her time on Wall Street, Fox soon realized that her purpose was not to solely give the world financial education, but to also instill belief and hope into communities of people who may not come from wealth, but have the desire to obtain it.

EMPIFY (merging of the words EMPower and modIFY), has evolved to become a fintech startup that is revolutionizing the way adults and children learn how to build wealth. Empify is focused on the creation of life-altering programs and financial tools that take Wall Street concepts and turn them into digestible content that financially empowers and educates adults and children.

By developing informative digital content, programs, and in-person experiences, Empify teaches all aspects of financial education in the classroom, online, and on their membership based WealthBuilders Community App.

Since 2017, Empify has reached over one million individuals across the world, has helped thousands of adults and children become first-time investors, and its programs have been implemented in over 100 different schools, corporations, and organizations across the country, including the public school system and prison system.

Since inception, both Ashley & her company Empify have helped minorities across the world invest over $10 million. Since leaving her Wall Street career, Ashley has used her message to educate the world as a former financial contributor for Forbes, Black Enterprise, and Essence Magazine.
